"Vulnerable" Wolverhampton mum goes missing with son

Police have appealed for help to trace a vulnerable mother from Wolverhampton who is thought to have gone missing with her 11-year-old son.

Deborah Jones, 33, may be heading for the North Wales coast or the North West of England with her son, Cameron.

West Midlands Police said Cameron had failed to return to foster parents after attending school in Coseley, West Midlands.

A police spokesman said social services had become concerned recently about Ms Jones's general health and wellbeing.

She is described as white, with blue eyes and brown hair. Her son is about 4ft 10in and of proportionate build with short brown hair.

They are known to be travelling in a blue Vauxhall Cavalier with the registration N304 CKD.

Det Insp Richard Jones, of Brierley Hill police station, said: "We know that Cameron wanted to see his mum and know she felt the same.

"We know they are both happy to be with each other but as time goes on we are very concerned for the welfare of both of them."

Insp Jones added: "He was looking forward to going on holiday with his foster carers but had mentioned that he was missing his mother.

"That is only natural, but it is important for her to return to Wolverhampton so that any access arrangements can be properly discussed."
