Teenage cyclist in critical condition after collision with bus in Birmingham
A 15-year-old cyclist is in a critical condition in hospital after being in collision with a double-decker bus in south Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the boy was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening head injuries after the accident in Edgewood Road, Hawkesley, at 2.50pm on Tuesday.
The road was closed for three hours while enquiries were made at the scene and the vehicle was recovered, a police spokesman said.
Witnesses are urged to call the road policing unit at Billesley police station on 0845 113 5000.
