Fircroft College in Selly Oak ready to reopen after fire

A historic Birmingham college officially reopens tomorrow, 12 months to the day after a devastating fire.
Fircroft College of Adult Education, in a former Cadbury family home in Bristol Road, Selly Oak, sustained hundreds of thousands of pounds damage to the roof and upper floors when fire broke out on October 15 last year.
Since then, sections of the college within the Edwardian main building have remained closed while work was carried out to return it to its former glory.
The college provides educational opportunities for disadvantaged adults and for voluntary and community groups.
