A rail commuter passenger who kicked a train guard in Birmingham after refusing to pay his fare has been jailed for four months.
Robert Singh Harwood, 21, from Edgbaston, was convicted of assaulting the guard on a CrossCity service between Erdington and Chester Road railway stations on April 2.
Harwood was arrested after British Transport Police identified him on CCTV footage.
Harwood had admitted being on the train, and being one of the men caught on CCTV cameras, but denied carrying out the attack. However, he was convicted of assault by Sutton Coldfield magistrates.
