Man dies in fork lift truck accident in Halesowen
A man has died after he became trapped between a forklift truck and a lorry in Halesowen.
West Midlands Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating the circumstances of the accident, which happened on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the Coombswood Business Park West, Steel Park Road, shortly after 2.20pm but the man, who has not yet been named, was pronounced dead at the scene .
A statement from West Midlands Police said: "A 42-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after he became trapped between a forklift truck and a lorry.
"West Midlands Police and the Health and Safety Executive are carrying out a full investigation.
"Preliminary police enquiries at the scene have revealed no suspicious circumstances but, as usual in such instances, officers are preparing an initial report for the Coroner who has been informed."
An inquest into the death will be held in due course.
