November court date for men charged with murder of Birmingham accountant
Three men have been charged with the murder of a Birmingham accountant who was killed after being attacked outside his home.
Vijay Kumar Thaper, head of Handsworth-based Thaper & Co, was assaulted on his drive at home in Bloxwich. He suffered two broken legs in the attack and was eventually discharged from hospital, but died six weeks later from complications over the injuries.
Thaper & Co is now run by Mr Thaper’s relative, Andeep Mangal.
The three men charged with Mr Thaper’s murder – Pritpal Panesar, of Handsworth, along with Saranjeet and Sandeep Lotey from Milton Keynes – did not enter a plea, and will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 10.
