Birmingham surgeon banned for a year after sex encounter with dominatrix

Dr Tony Walker, Marion Burton

A cosmetic surgeon from Birmingham secretly filmed having sexual encounters with a German dominatrix at work has been banned for a year.

Dr Tony Walker, aged 53, of Kings Norton, was reprimanded for “wholly unacceptable conduct” by the General Medical Council (GMC).

The father-of-two was suspended from the medical register for 12 months. He escaped being struck off as a GMC panel took account of his impeccable record as a doctor and deemed there was no significant risk of him repeating the behaviour.

Walker admitted charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of German-born Marion Burton, known as Mistress J, sending her a string of sexual text messages and being convicted for assaulting his wife Yvonne.

The botox specialist was secretly filmed by his patient, 51-year-old Mrs Burton, at his private Chatsworth Clinic, in Maidenhead, Berkshire, in 2008, the GMC hearing in Manchester was told.

Mrs Burton, who earns up to £5,000 a month and has clients said to be politicians and rugby players, said she filmed the doctor from a camera in her handbag to expose him to the authorities.
