The Square shopping centre in Birmingham city centre will host some of the city's most exciting urban sounds and emerging trends this Saturday.
Live@The Square in Dale End will feature music, art and entertainment with an indie vibe.
Birmingham rockers Jackpike are first on the bill. The three-piece built up a loyal following since scooping a Band of the Year crown from Radio One’s Edith Bowman.
Erdington alternative rock four-piece Captain Horizon also perform during the day, along with Kings Heath punk trio Black Heart Generator.
The festival takes place from 11am to 5pm, with a mixture of events to keep crowds entertained at The Square, formerly known as Priory Square.
Oasis, We Are Birmingham and a host of other local niche retailers will be supporting the event with themed activities.
Grass and colourful new picnic benches designed by retailers and local artists have been added at the centre to give it a festival feel.
Live art installations from the We Are Birmingham gallery are also planned as well as a bar from Scruffy Murphy’s.
Manager of The Square shopping centre Yvonne Moulton said: “This is a festival vibe in the heart of the city, if you love good music from local bands and a laid back atmosphere then there will be something for you.
“A day of music is also fantastic way to show off what The Square has to offer – we have a great mix of businesses to for a festival audience – from the iconic Oasis which celebrates 40 years in business this year, to the Hairy Lemon bar and live music venue.”
Other events lined up for the summer include a ‘zombie walk’ on Saturday, July 23, while on August 13, The Square is planning an urban flea market in conjunction with Kerrang! Radio.
