Detectives investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found in a car in Warwickshire have successfully applied to magistrates for extra time to question a 31-year-old man.

Warwickshire Police said a post-mortem examination had shown that the woman, who was discovered in a vehicle in Montana Walk, Nuneaton, on Monday, died from neck injuries.

The identity of the woman, who was in her 30s, will not be released until formal identification procedures have been completed, a police spokesman said.
