A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car in Sutton Coldfield. The accident happened at the junction of Mere Green Road and Farnborough Court at 7.44am on Tuesday. A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A woman in her 40s received a serious head injury. “The patient was taken with a police escort to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
