POLICE have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with two bank robberies in Solihull.
The man entered NatWest on High Street, Knowle, at around 3pm on Friday 8 June. He showed the cashier an empty holdall but fled after a panic alarm was pressed.
Just over an hour later at 4.15pm it is believed the man visited Nationwide on Stratford Road, in Shirley. A cashier handed over an amount of cash after the man made threats, saying he had a gun.
He is described as black, between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was aged about 30 and wore a dark coloured beanie hat and a heavy duty high-visibility jacket with the hood up.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or can help identify the man is asked to contact detectives at Solihull on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
