More than £2 million is to be spent revamping six West Midland railway stations.

The Chase Line is the target of a £2.1 million cash injection which will see stations in Walsall and south Staffordshire get a makeover.

The stations to benefit are Bloxwich, Bloxwich North, Landywood, Cannock, Hednesford and Rugeley Town stations.

It follows the announcement that rail operator London Midland, Network Rail, transport authority Centro and Staffordshire County Council have joined forces.
