Gary Taylor was the first winner of Birmingham Young Professional of the Year and has been officially declared one of the city's Inspiring Leaders.

He became the youngest person to be made a director of Argent Group and oversaw the delivery of Birmingham's leading mixed use development, Brindleyplace. Brindleyplace has been a massive success and in no small measure down to Taylor's drive and commitment.
Argent, the landlords of Paradise Forum, have big plans for redevelopment of the site, but meantime are spending £2million on refurbishing it. The challenge is almost as big as Brindleyplace - perhaps bigger - but there is widespread confidence that Taylor is up to it.
He is an active member of the Broad Street Association, championed the Broad Street Business Improvement District (BID) and is a board member of Marketing Birmingham. He has a track record of leading from the front and getting his hands dirty.
Colleagues say he is truly passionate about Birmingham, looking to inspire those around him. He is admired for his drive and energy and ability to make complicated projects happen.
On top of this he is a father of two young children and runs marathons for fun.
A bit of an action man.
