No.20 Stef Lewandowski

When the logo for the 2012 Olympics was unveiled Stef Lewandowski didn't think much of it. In fact he was moved to make his views known on his web site blog and in an article for this newspaper.

"A too-long, epileptic-seizure-inducing video that made hysterical viewing until it was removed," was his take on the Wolff Olins video introducing the logo.

"Halfway through my first viewing of the video I started laughing and ended up nearly crying," he went on. One of Birmingham's most creative minds wasn't impressed.

Stef Lewandowski is a self-confessed geek. But his geekism hasn't done him any harm at all. At just 28 he is founder and managing director of Digbeth-based creative agency 3form. For someone so young his experience in his field is impressive. His CV includes experience of developing web sites, online communities, blogs, interactive tools, software, music, animation, graphic design, corporate identity, games, video, typefaces and photography.

A champion of the creative sector in Birmingham, he is also co-director of experimental record label Type.
He has won a string of awards including the British Council Digital Pioneer award for 2007, the Birmingham University Alumnus of the Year 2006-2007, the Channel 4 Ideas Factory Creative award 2005-2006, the Mustard Award for best new start-up in Birmingham 2004 and the Birmingham Creative City Award for Outstanding Innovation 2004.

He was also Young Professional of the Year for 2005-2006 and his business won the Birmingham Small Business of the Year 2005-2006 in the Birmingham Creative City Awards.

With so much going on in his life you wouldn't think he had much spare time, but he enjoys spending time with his young daughter Imogen, walking up mountains, taking photographs and, in his own words, generally geeking with the latest web technology.
